Special Invitation to the WDC

I just recieved an invitation a few days ago to join an Artists Launch with other Montana artists through MAP, which is the Montana Artrepreneurship Program made possible by the Montana Arts Council. This is the WDC or Western Design Conference's site: http://www.westerndesignconference.com/. It is a regional show in Jackson Hole, WY that attracts world famous interior designers, galleries, collectors and artists.

Check out this article in the Teton Home and Living Magazine: http://www.lifeinthetetons.com/Teton-Home-and-Living/Spring-2012/Supaya-Gray-Wolfe/. How exciting!

I am so thrilled and honored to be apart of this! When I first received this message from the developer Cindy Kittredge I screamed at the top of my lungs. My husband thought that I hurt myself. He was relieved when he heard the real news. I quickly responded shakily to the invitation. Then realized that I need to get to work and soon! I will be quite busy for the next couple of weeks in preparation for this event. I will keep you posted though.

Best,
Abby

Something old and something new!

Here is the something old. I have taken my son's old homework pages along with magazine pages, telephone pages, bits and pieces of jeans, and a few egg cartons for stability purposes. I used a clear Gesso to coat all but the edges of the paper. I then coated that with acrylic paint.

Here are my subjects picked from Lake Como.

Now here is something new! Sketched with part of the beginnings of the watercolor.

Here it is almost finished with only the date left to sign on it. So much fun! I can't wait to start my next one!!!

Happy Painting,
Abby

Summer 2012, Outer Banks, North Carolina

Outer Banks, North Carolina ( otherwise known as OBX )

This is by far the busiest summer that I have had in my entire life! We just got back from the hot, humid and muggy East Coast. It's barely been a week and I've just finished organizing the some odd couple thousand photos that I took while there. Here are a sampling of a few:

A few subjects to keep me busy this winter!

Just another day in beach paradise!

We saw hundreds of these everyday.

The DUNES!

This was my last day on the beach after being here for a week. I woke up at 5AM to get photos of the sunrise and I was not disappointed.

We must have seen thousands of these little ghost crabs! Quite and cute little guys.
