Apple Harvest Paintings
These were some fun little mixed media harvest studies that I did this past fall using archival mixed media paper, watercolor, and an old recipe found in a book from the early 1950's printed in green ink. I love the way that they turned out!

Something old and something new!
Here is the something old. I have taken my son's old homework pages along with magazine pages, telephone pages, bits and pieces of jeans, and a few egg cartons for stability purposes. I used a clear Gesso to coat all but the edges of the paper. I then coated that with acrylic paint.
Here are my subjects picked from Lake Como.
Now here is something new! Sketched with part of the beginnings of the watercolor.
Here it is almost finished with only the date left to sign on it. So much fun! I can't wait to start my next one!!!
Happy Painting,
Abby

The Rooster
This is a sneak preview at my newest collection of paintings. The Farm Animals will be a bright and vibrant collection and will appeal to a large audience. I heard once that we are only 7 people away from knowing everyone in the world! So I figure someone knows someone who loves everything to do with farming, right? Well that sounds about right as far as I see it.
Here are my initial sketches for my Rooster painting.
This is the finished painting which will be made into archival prints! Hope you liked visiting my Rooster. There will be many, many more farm animals to come. SO be on the look out!
